Daniel Biron

Traveling the world, he became aware of the relationship between food and health, and discovered a passion for cooking. After studying in New York (Natural Gourmet Institute), working in Paris and working at one of the best restaurants in the world Noma in Copenhagen. He moved back to his hometown of Rio De Janeiro to open his own restaurant Teva.

Teva was born in August 2016, in Ipanema, with chef Daniel Biron and brothers Alexandre and Daniel Oelsner. They offer the public a complete gastronomic experience that reflected  a 100% vegetable-based restaurant with an innovative and international menu, visually stunning and equally tasty dishes. In addition, a bar offering creative drinks and organic and natural wines, engaging music and friendly service.

They are the first restaurant in Brazil to obtain the B Company certification, awarded to those that benefit society and minimize their impact on the planet. 

Dishes made for sharing, 100% vegetable, seasonal, produced with fresh ingredients, locally grown and organic to the maximum possible extent.

In their kitchen everything is made from scratch and on site.

Teva in Hebrew means nature and also means to embody the sense of leaving a positive mark on the world. The purpose of Teva is to make plant-based food attractive and present it as a path to a more balanced life and a more sustainable future.
